Hi @Brynnwood666666,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to print from your HP DeskJet 2710e and want to run diagnostics using your Android phone, here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and get back to printing.

Step-by-Step: Run Diagnostics & Fix Printing Issues via Android

1. Install the HP Smart App

This app is essential for managing your printer from your phone.

2. Connect Your Printer to Wi-Fi

Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android phone.

  • If the Wi-Fi light is blinking, press and hold the Wireless button and Power button together for 5 seconds to reset wireless settings.
  • Use the HP Smart app to reconnect the printer.

3. Use HP Smart App Diagnostics

Once connected:

  • Open HP Smart.
  • Tap your printer’s name.
  • Go to Advanced Settings or Printer Settings.
  • Look for Diagnostics or Reports.
  • Run Print Quality Diagnostic Page or Network Diagnostic.

4. Check for Offline or Error Status

  • In HP Smart, if the printer shows offline, tap the printer and follow the prompts to reconnect.
  • If you see “Incompatible cartridge” or “Paper jam”, tap the error for guided steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
