Hello, I have problems with my home Internet cable connection, so I am surfing using a mobile connection via bluetooth. If I connect the printer to the mobile net, will Instant Ink receive data from the printer?

If yes, how do I connect the printer to my mobile using wi-fi?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi! @Kim71, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you would like to know if you can use a mobile hotspot to use instant ink services.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Have you tried checking with regular ink cartridges does the issue persist?

Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.

Mobile hotspot does not have much bandwidth to support printer communication, So it is not recommended to connect your printer using the mobile hotspot.

You can use Instant Ink program by connecting the printer to a hot spot for few days. Such a system should work, however HP can not guarantee the printer will be able to connect to a hot spot or web services.

As a test you can enable web services on your printer through the hot spot. Once done, try sending a printer to the printer's ePrint address. If the printer can print a document that is emailed, you should be able to setup and use Instant Ink.
