How to print 2 x 3 photos?

I need to print photos for frames that are 2x3" but don't have that option in my printer settings.  I have searched and found that others asking the same question are told to select 4 x 6 and scale down the image to 50%.  But when I select Scale image, I don't have any option to scale down to any percent, and there is not an option to manually select 2x3.  

Any ideas?  I am running out of time if I am going to give these to my mom for christmas!

PS, I am using an HP 9010, but the drop down menu here does not offer that option so I had to select 9015,

The printers in this series are capable of printing photos of any size, including 2x3 inches.

The controlling factors are the supported paper sizes, paper types, and the application or software used to configure and submit the job to the printer.

You need a photo print / photo editing software that understands the concept of Scale.

The following is relevant to a supported version of Windows and having installed the Full driver printer software on the computer.

Yes, if the original pixel shape and size of the photos translates to 4x6 inches, then printing the photo at 50% of that size might result in what you need.  

If the original shape and size of your photos is not a clean match for 2x3 inch photo prints, then you must fit the photo into the shape of the space (2x3 inches).

Once installed, open the software > Tab Help

Notes - Frame Fit

If the outer edge of your photo frame is 2x3 inches then the size of your printed photo might need to be adjusted to fit within the inner frame edge.  Print one photo on plain paper, cut it out, place the little photo in the frame.  Adjust print size if / as needed.

Microsoft Print Pictures (formally Windows Photo Viewer) prints one or more photos at a selected size on one or more sheets of paper.

Printer Software - Full Driver

Reinstall the full driver printer software

• Check / Install any pending Windows Updates 
• If not done as part of Windows Updates, Restart your computer 

Next,

Uninstall existing printer software

• Uninstall existing full driver printer software from Programs and Features.
• If your printer software includes a separate "help" in Programs and Features, uninstall that, too.
• Restart the computer and log in.

Install full driver printer software

• If the printer is connected to the computer using a printer USB cable, remove / disconnect the cable before loading the software.

Download, Save, and Install

• If using a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer, connect the cable when instructed to do so (near the end of the software installation process.

            What about HP Scan?

After the installation of the printer software is complete -

The full driver will be listed in Programs and Features AND in Settings > Apps > Installed Apps (Windows 11)

Next,

• The full driver printer software will have added one or more "container" shortcuts on the Desktop:

• Printer Assistant - named for the printer model

OR

On newer printers and when the new full driver printer software no longer supports the Printer Assistant:

• Scan Assistant - named for itself

AND

• The full driver printer software, once installed, will have added a shortcut icon for HP Scan. 

NOTE > Model Dependent

The shortcut for HP Scan that is part of the full driver might be named for the printer model.

Separately -- Supported on this printer and Windows 11

Installation of the HP Universal Scan Software adds an "HP Scan" self-named shortcut icon to the Desktop.

NOTE

If you have installed the full driver printer software,

And

If the HP Scan that is installed is the "new format" (larger GUI and new layout),

Then

In general, you perhaps do not need to install HP Universal Scan -- the version of HP Scan that installs with the software for this printer is a functional match to the HP Universal Software.

That said, if you can't stand it for any reason, the system will tolerate installing both the full driver and the HP Universal Scan software.

When the software is installed, HP Universal Scan Software adds a self-named HP Scan software shortcut to the Desktop.

Note

Where supported, HPUSS can be installed as standalone or installed after the full feature / full solution printer software.

Find / Download / Save / Install HP Universal Scan – Full Feature Software and Driver Webpack 

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.
