I have been using the Ho Smart  App snd HP print serive plug for over a year now. I even have instantink. But now  my printer is refusing to print. I keep getting the message... error check internet connection or proxy. The internet connection is fine. It is connected.  So how do I find jf proxy needs to be on or off? The address?  How can I get it to print from  my phone again?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

To better assist you - Are you able to print from any other devices? 

 

While you respond to that, try rebooting the devices -

 

1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer/ mobile devices. 
2) Wait for 60 seconds. 
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize. 
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself. 
5) Turn on the computer/ mobile devices.

 

If the issue is still not resolved, re-install the HP Smart app and HP Print Service Plug-in. 

 

To uninstall the app from your phone, try these steps -

 

1) Open Settings on your device.
2) Tap on Apps or Application manager.
3) Tap on the app you want to remove. You may need to scroll to find the right one.
4) Tap Uninstall. 

 

Restart your mobile device and install the HP Smart (Printer Remote) and HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store.
