Label print size

Hello i have an hp6155E printer when printing a label for a pkg on my old print i had a choice to print say a 4x6 label or a didfferent size. I cant seem to find that on this printer can anyone help. I am printing from my iphone insee nothing on the phone or in the printer settings

I might not understand what you were seeing before on a different printer.

The following is information about how HP Smart - Mobile - works to determine how to print your content.

In general, for this and other HP printers, the printer is not aware of what it is printing, scanning, or copying.

This means that you can make the printer aware of the Paper Size / Type (Tray and Paper) using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Scroll down to section Message Content References to see examples of using EWS to adjust Paper Size / Type (Tray and Paper)

Next,

Print Size is set / managed in the Application or Software used to configure the current job.

Open HP Smart Mobile -

Print Documents

Open the document you want to print

Click the Print icon

App opens the document into Print Preview

If you want to check / change the print size on the paper, Click the little "Transform" button when Preview opens.

Select "Resize"

Select which type of "size" option you want.

In general, Label printing might prefer the Original Size or possibly "Fit to Size".

After you have the size you want selected,

Click Done

Continue with next option - Print

Hello again and thanks for all this info, and dont take this wrong but  really this is too much for my mind to consume. It was overwhelming and I am sure the answer to my question is somewhere in that long post but my mind isn’t made that way. I was just hoping somebody had a simple answer. Maybe there was a setting i was missing somewhere. Like I said on my old printer HP it was a simple setting. I will contact HP. But thank you Dragon-fur

I work to not "take things the wrong way".

Unless you yell and flail and shout about rubbish answers, we are "good" to go.

Even should you take that route, we will part ways amicably.

Another Try --

The simple answer is that regardless of what the old printer did -- or did not do - there is no reason to think this printer would work exactly the same way.

If you want to select paper size, do that in EWS.

Why use EWS?

This printer does not have a full touchscreen Printer Control Panel

After you change the paper, there is no "printer control panel" option to adjust / modify / confirm the paper size type.

EWS lets you view / adjust printer settings using your browser.

Label Sheet size 4x6 inches?

Select 4x6 inch paper size in Tray and Paper (EWS).

Label Sheet size = Letter or A4 paper?

Select this size in Tray and Paper (EWS).

Apply the settings and done.

Once the Tray and Paper settings are in place,

then

Configure your job.

The paper size / type you selected in EWS will show up on the job setup.

If you want to get fancy and print a label at a size OTHER than the Paper size you are using,

THEN you need "an app for that".
