Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I understand that you need help with the Printer Password.

I'd like to help.

May I know which Password are you referring to? Is it the EWS Server Page password or the password to connect to your Wireless Network?

If you are trying to Reset the EWS Page, please try these steps:

  1. Open a web browser and type the printer IP address in the address field exactly as it appears on the Configuration Page,  and then press Enter.
  2. Click the Security tab, and under General Security, set the local administrator password.
    1. Keep the username default as admin.
    2. Type the New Password and Verify Password.
    3. Navigate to the bottom of the page and click Apply.

Use these credentials the next time you Log In to the EWS Page.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you. 🙂

Hi, the password the of reference it is the EWS Server Page, the problem with your suggestions is not resolved. It always asks me the passord of reference to enter to the printer as from enclosure. I have also tried with the userid admin and password admin but it doesn't work.  Thank you for collaboration. MassimoSchermata 2018-01-08 alle 13.09.51.png

Hi @Massi_Cav

Let's try Resetting the Network Settings to default first and then we will try setting the password again.

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds. This will Reset the Network Defaults. Restart your printer and you need to connect it back to your Network.

When the Printer is connected to your Network, then try these steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you. 🙂
