Logmein123 Remote support Question

Does HP use Logmein123 for remopte support for their products or is this a scam that they are trying to get me to give them access to my computer?  I am trying to solve some connecting prooblems between my printer and my computer home network and when I phoned this number [edit] for support the person on the phone wanted me to give him access to my computer.  I asked him specisificly if this was HP support and if the service was free and he said yes.  After giving him my email  address he told me that my printer was on line and that he could tell that I had an instant ink program that I was signed up for and he then said he needed to have access to my computer to be able to solve my problems.  I still didn't feel comfortable giving him access so I hung up and said I'd call back later.

Is this a legit service?
