I followed all the steps and it did not fix the issue.   My belief is the printer goes to sleep and doesn't reawaken ...  I have invested all the time and effort in making this work as I am willing to expend.  Both the 8715 and 6958 were returned yesterday.   Hope lots of others are not having the same problem.  Thanks for your help.
