Password for HP Printer 7640

I need to change the password on my HP 7640 because I want to hook it up to my hotspot and when I try to do it wants me to enter the password for my printer and I don’t know what the password is would appreciate any help thanks

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

This did not help me. I have an iPhone 11 and each time I try to connect to my printer I get a message that it needs the password for my 7640. I have never encountered this problem before. Even after my reset I have no idea what my password is for my printer. I keep trying to enter the password for our WiFi and it consistently says I need the password for my printer. What the heck? I don’t understand why my printer is not recognizing our WIFI.

Here is a screenshot, notice what it says at the top of the screen. I tried and entering the password several times for the Wi-Fi and I don't know the password for my 7640 thank you.

I see that you are trying to connect to WiFi Direct. Try the password- 12345678
