I was able to find  and install the HP Print Service Plug in for old Samsung phone on Android 11 and works perfectly to my Office Jet Pro8028.  My new Samsung tablet is on Android 15 and when I go to the Play Store I get this message "This app isn't available for your device because it was made for earlier version of Android".  There are third party apps that work differently but not what I'm looking for.  Any chance this being worked on?

Hi @Diver_rob,

I understand you’re unable to install it because the Play Store says “This app isn’t available for your device …”. Let’s go step-by step to see what could be happening and what you can try.

a. Verify compatibility & check for updates

On the Play Store listing of the HP Print Service Plugin it says it supports Android “Lollipop (v5.0) and newer”. Google Play+2HP Support+2

Yet sometimes the Play Store restricts device installs if the app’s developer hasn’t declared support for the exact OS version or device form factor (tablet vs phone).

Go to your tablet’s Settings → System → About tablet → Android version and note the exact version (for example Android 15).

Then in Play Store, check if the app listing says “Requires Android X or higher” and if your device is excluded due to manufacturer or form-factor.

b. Clear Play Store cache & refresh compatibility check

Go to Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → Storage → Clear cache and Clear data.

Restart your tablet.

Search again for “HP Print Service Plugin” and see if the install button appears instead of “This app isn’t available for your device”.

Sometimes Play Store caching mis-flags compatibility after OS upgrades

I hope this helps.
