Officejet 5255
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Followed instructions to uninstall web services and reinstall to get new code.

New code gives "printer already claimed status."

Repeated two more times and same issue - Yet, there are no printers showing up in my HP Smart App nor the HP Connected area where my account is logged in.

Support page only says to enter new code; but, does not tell what to do when new code(s) also fail.

I am trying to connect my printer - which was already connected to the web via wireless router and worked on my laptop - to my new desktop (Win 10 home).  I even tried installing from the "full web pack" and desktop does not have "wireless" capability and does not find any printers when searching.  I can use usb cable to connect (have not tried); but, then I would not be able to use web services??  I already corrected the firewall issue on the router (hitron CODA-4589) by allowing it to "manage" the port. This enable me to get the printer connected the first time wirelessly and then installed on my laptop.  Help would be appreciated as I am at a standstill until I can start printing again.
