Hi @Anilp79,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your HP Smart Tank 720 All-in-One Printer, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the problem.
Check Wi-Fi Network
- Ensure your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Make sure the router is functioning properly and that other devices are connected to the Wi-Fi.
Restart Devices
- Printer: Turn off the printer, wait 10-15 seconds, and turn it back on.
- Router: Restart your router to refresh the network connection.
- Device: Restart the device you are trying to print from (e.g., laptop, phone).
Connect Printer to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode. You can do this by following these steps:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to the Wireless or Wi-Fi settings.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard or Network Setup.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- You may need to enter the network credentials using the printer's touchscreen or control panel.
Check Printer’s IP Address
- Print a network configuration page from the printer’s settings (this can usually be found under Reports or Network Setup). This page will show the printer's IP address.
- Ensure the printer's IP is within the same network range as your other devices.
Update Printer Firmware
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer via the HP Smart app or HP Support website.
Reconfigure HP Smart App
- If you're using the HP Smart app to print or manage your printer, try removing the printer from the app and adding it again:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Select Printers.
- Choose Remove for the current printer, then follow the on-screen instructions to add it again.

Check for Interference
- Make sure there are no large metal objects or devices (such as microwaves or cordless phones) near the printer or router, as they can cause interference with the Wi-Fi signal.
Reset Network Settings
- If none of the above work, you can reset the network settings on the printer:
- On the printer, go to Settings.
- Find Restore Network Settings or Reset Network Settings and select it.
- After the reset, reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
