Hi @Amandashipp,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Product. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
If your HP DeskJet 2755e All-In-One Printer is showing a "the printer is busy" error, try these troubleshooting steps:
Restart the Printer and Computer: Turn off the printer and your computer. Wait for about 30 seconds before turning them back on.
Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Open the printer’s access doors and carefully check inside.
Verify Printer Status:
- Ensure the printer has enough paper and ink.
- Check if any error lights or messages are displayed on the printer's control panel.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your DeskJet 2755e.
- Install the drivers and restart your computer.
Check Printer Queue:
- On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer and select See what's printing. Clear any documents in the queue.
- On macOS: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and open the print queue. Clear any stuck print jobs.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
- Restart your router to refresh the network connection.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (if using Windows): HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP Support website. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printer issues.
Factory Reset the Printer (if all else fails):
- Refer to the printer’s manual or HP's support site for instructions on performing a factory reset. Be aware that this will clear any custom settings.
Refer to this document: HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer User manual
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
