Hello - My first posting and I'm sure I've posted in the wrong category - so I'd be grateful if my mail could be moved to the correct place - my apologies.
I am thinking of purchasing a HP Smart Tank 5107 printer from Amazon, this has a 'cash back' of £30 and an additional 3 years warranty offer. When I check on the HP pages it stipulates that to claim I MUST provide an Invoice or equivalent paperwork containing, among other things the printer model number and the serial number. I've purchased a number of items from Amazon over a period of years and I have never seen a serial number on the paperwork. it would presumably mean the packer would have to open the box to get the number and that would be totally impractical as Amazon are major box shifters.
I'd welcome any advice and or clarification,
Thanks,
John

Hello @henddyndydad, Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting in the HP Community.
As this question relates to a cashback promotion and extended warranty offer, we unfortunately do not have access to promotion administration details, claim validation requirements, retailer documentation, or region-specific offer terms from the Community side.
For Amazon purchases, the printer serial number is typically located on the product box and on the printer itself. It is not uncommon for retailer invoices or order confirmations to omit the serial number because the serial number is unique to the individual unit shipped.
Because this is a UK-specific promotion, we recommend reaching out to the HP Shopping UK Team, as they are best positioned to advise on these.
The serial number should also be available on the product box once the printer is delivered, allowing you to verify it against the printer received.
Have a great day!

Sorry I forgot to mention in my initial posting…
I emailed HP Stores UK hoping that they could advice me via email, I got a mail back saying I should call them, I specifically didn’t wish to do so as I have heard of customers being kept on the line for ages – I may have to do so as a last resort… I also emailed promotions at HP who never replied…

Hello Meghana_10 - thank you for replying to my posting ref cash back on HP printers. My apologies for posting in an inappropriate forum. I also posted on an U K HP forum who subsequently answered to the effect that if the supplied Invoice did not contain the product's serial number then a photocopy of that information as marked on the actual printer would suffice.
Now I find Amazon have removed the 'very' attractively priced item I was interested in purchasing - maybe they will re-list! Thank you again and have a nice weekend.
John
