Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This morning only the help icon  (question mark) shows on my printer how can I get the home and return icons showing again

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Try a power reset on the printer-

Reset the product

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  5. Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
