I've created a text box with color and text in Word. Now I want to print it onto photo paper. In the Print window I've selected Media & Quality and then photo glossy paper as my Paper Type, but the text box prints on the 8 1/2 x 11" paper. How do I redirect it? Have tried taking the 8 1/2 x 11" paper out. The printer then says I'm out of paper.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer and it is unable to print on the photo paper. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
I read that you have selected the Media and Quality and then put the photo glossy paper into the paper tray.
To assist you better, I would like to know the following information:
- Is it an HP photo paper?
- Have you tried to print from any other application?
- Ensure that you do not overstock the photo tray.
While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Please refer to the print driver settings in the Mac OS: http://hp.care/2qkb5BZ
To check the hardware functionality of the printer, I suggest you to remove the normal paper out and keep only the photo paper in the photo tray. The try to make a photocopy. If the printer picks the photo paper and makes a copy of it then it indicates that the hardware is working fine.
Also, you may refer to step 1 from this HP document to ensure that the photo paper is loaded correctly. And refer to Step 1 from this HP document to ensure that the photo tray is seated correctly.
I suggest you to update the firmware on your printer via this link. Once the firmware is downloaded and installed, please restart the printer.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know what happens. Good luck! 🙂

Glad to have you back. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the wonderful information. You are correct, it is not a hardware issue at all.
You may attempt a reset printing system on your Mac. Once this is done, you may try to print.
The advanced print settings in Mac OS should also help you: https://apple.co/2BnLuIV
In case the problem persists then try printing from another application as there could be an issue with Word program.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted. Cheers!
