HP Recommended
Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo and older

OS: Android 7.0
Device: Samsung Tab S2
Printer: HP Laserjet P2055dn

These are the steps I took that resolved my problem, which was slow printing and black area printed:
Installed newest HP PRINT ANDROID
Manually add with IP adress
Firewall OFF
Samsung Printing Service UPDATED (and service turned off)
Fill Page mode
Quality to NORMAL
Battery Saver OFF
Allow Storage Permission to HP Print Service (dont know if it makes a difference, this just a step which I also made)
WiFi Direct Mode ON in HP Print Service Settings.

Another app that I heard from, but I did not need to install, and might help is HP Smart:
