Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Virtual Assistant was no help and kept going in circles. No case number given so nothing was resolved.

the Tray Open error message is displayed and will not go away. Printer is only a year old. There is no paper jam or anything in the way. Help!

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Hi! 

Did you ever get any resolve for this issue? I'm having the same problem, with the same model printer. So annoyed! Not even an old printer. Nothing but problems with it!! No more HP printers. Super disappointed in HP.

HELP???
