Since updating to iOS 17.1.2, I cannot print to my
Envy 6200, even when it shows up in my connected printers (NOT an offline issue). I have restarted the printer. I have disconnected and reconnected to my network. I have printed my configuration page which is showing that everything is connected. My router is located close to the printer. I have tried printing from different applications, including going through the HP app; the HP app confirmed that the job was received.
I have tried to print from different devices. Nothing works. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi @imseh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with printing on your HP Envy 6200 after updating to iOS 17.1.2. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.
Check Printer Connection:
- Confirm that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- Ensure that the printer is turned on and not in an error state. Check for any error messages on the printer's display.
Printer Firmware:
- Verify if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Envy 6200. Sometimes, updating the printer firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your iOS device and the HP Envy 6200. This can help in refreshing the network connections.
Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and forget the Wi-Fi network your device is connected to. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network and try printing again.
Reset Printing System:
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords. After resetting, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and try printing again.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the HP printer app from your iOS device and reinstall it from the App Store. Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP app.
Check Printer Queue:
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > Printers & Scanners. Select your HP Envy 6200 and check if there are any pending print jobs. Delete any pending jobs and try printing a new document.
Printer Reset:
- Perform a factory reset on your HP Envy 6200. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to reset it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Envy photo 7855 won’t get prints from iOS 17.1.2 in safari. I was able to print from duck duck go browser though. USD to work till recently. Hp smart print is very bad to use. It usually want to print blank sheet. After 30 years of hp printers, this is my last. Maybe hp doesn’t maintain drivers for iOS.

I was only consistently successful when doing screen print, then printing from that app. DDG is sporadic, and print from chrome didn’t go thru. Looks like printer function doesn’t work anymore with iOS updates. I went thru troubleshooting list, but nothing worked.

I found the solution on this site, and first item about reset fixed problem. I turned on private in settings, then hardware reset without reboot of modem and it all worked. I guess it wasn’t a hp printer issue, but general printer issue.
