What the !! You removed the old app and this one ! So limited, can't find anything anymore and there is only ONE size if we print off the web anything.  Now, you have to save it

to a file them resize (limited also!)!

Hi @weez1967

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining what’s changed—I’m really sorry the updated HP app has made printing more restrictive and less intuitive. You’re absolutely right that recent updates have altered how resizing and layout options work, especially when printing directly from the web.

Here’s a focused workaround to help you regain control over print size:

How to Resize Web Content Before Printing

1. Use “Print Photos” Tile in HP App

  • Open the HP app
  • Tap Print Photos
  • Select your saved image or screenshot
  • Tap the Settings icon
    • Choose a smaller paper size (e.g., 4x6 in, 5x7 in)
    • Disable borderless printing to allow margin-based scaling
    • Choose Actual Size or Fit to Page under layout options

This gives you more control over how the image is scaled and printed.

2. Print from Browser with Custom Scaling

  • Open the web page in Chrome or Edge
  • Press Ctrl + P to open the print dialog
  • Under More Settings, adjust:
    • Scale (e.g., 80%, 50%)
    • Margins (set to default or custom)
    • Paper size (match your printer’s tray)

This avoids saving to a file and lets you resize directly from the browser.

3. Use HP Easy Start for Driver-Level Control

These packages restore access to advanced print settings via your system’s print dialog.

Let me know your printer model or what kind of content you're trying to resize—I’ll guide you with tailored steps.

You’re doing everything right by speaking up—I’ll stay with you until it’s resolved.
