I would like to understand more the differences between connecting my printer by wifi direct compared with home network connection can someone please explain in simple terms please?

I have just switched on Wifi Direct and the printer is now connected by both direct and network and it works fine as it did before switching on direct.

I just wondered what are the benefits of wifi direct as well as network and should I disconnect from my network?

Thanks

The wi-fi directly connects the printer to your computer directly. The printer generates an internal wireless network so that a computer can connect to it. That is good then you don't have a wireless router in your environment, like in the mountains, or in a car when driving around. There are no other major differences.
