My old router, a Netgear, was fine!

Now I have a Zyxel router model AMG1302 the router shows the wireless connection to the printer fine and the printer can see the router and passwords work etc.

But I cannot wirelessly print ... neither from my Imac or Ipad or Iphone.

I rang customer services at Zyxel as I had read to disable snooping on the router - this has not worked. They suggested there may be a 'port' problem with the printer and to ring yourselves.

I really hope someone can help as I am having to email work from mobile devices and put the cable in printer/mac to make it work.

Thank you.

So many possibilities!

First, see if the printer is on the same network as the other devices.

The printer has its own web server.  Open a browser on your iMac and type in the IP address of the printer.  Get the IP address from the printer (in the wireless menu) and try to ping it from the iMac.  You might need to say that it is ok to go to that address.  If you can get to the printers web page the problem is most likely a blocked port in the router (firewall settings to strong).

Second, Check the Zytel router to see if it supports 2.4 and 5Ghz wireless.  If it does make sure that it routes data between the two networks.

Third, sometimes there is a guest network option on the router.  If the printer is on the guest network and the other devices are not you won't be able to print.
