Hi @Madhavanji,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering issues with your WiFi network security code (password), here are some steps to resolve the problem:

Step-by-Step Guide to Troubleshoot WiFi Password Issues

Verify the Password:

  • Ensure you are entering the correct WiFi password. WiFi passwords are case-sensitive, so double-check for any typos, capitalization, or special characters.

Check Router Settings:

  • Access your router’s settings to verify the WiFi password.
  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your router (common addresses are 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, or 10.0.0.1).
  • Log in using the router’s admin username and password (often found on a label on the router or in the manual).
  • Navigate to the wireless settings section to view or reset the WiFi password.

Reset WiFi Password:

  • If you’ve forgotten the WiFi password, you can reset it in the router’s settings.
  • Follow the steps above to access the router’s settings.
  • Change the WiFi password to something new and make a note of it.

Reconnect Devices:

  • After verifying or resetting the WiFi password, try reconnecting your devices.
  • On your device, go to the WiFi settings, forget the current network, and reconnect using the correct password.

Restart Your Router and Device:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting your router and the device you’re trying to connect can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Turn off the router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart your device and attempt to reconnect to the WiFi network.

Check Network Name (SSID):

  • Ensure you are connecting to the correct WiFi network, especially if there are multiple networks available with similar names.

Update Network Drivers (for Computers):

  • Ensure that your computer’s network drivers are up to date.
  • Open Device Manager on your computer.
  • Find the network adapter, right-click on it, and select Update driver.

Reset Network Settings (for Mobile Devices):

  • On your mobile device, you can reset network settings to fix WiFi issues.
  • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings (iOS).
  • On Android, go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
