1). When I tried to connect to the shared network I was not able to connect to the wireless internet as my Internet access message read"unable to connect DHCP is not on.  How do I turn on the DHCP when it turns off?  Why would the DHCP turn off?  I am trying to access the internet through a wireless network and on a parallel basis connect to the shared network group.

I tried to connect to a shared network group setup by a host.  The shared group had 4 members.  I was not able to connect to the shared group.  On a parallel basis, I tried to connect to a open public wireless internet connection at a local church.

The Internet access message read "unable to connect DHCP is not on.

  1. How do I turn on the DHCP when it turns off?  Why would the DHCP turn off?
  2. Can you access the internet through a wireless network and on a parallel basis connect to the shared network group?
  3. Can you provide the steps necessary to connect Windows 10 to an Ethernet network hosted by a Windows 7 computer for purposes of sharing a HP Laserjet 1022 printer?

I will really appreciate assistance especially with #3.

Thanks,

Bob

Are trying to connect your computer or printer to the 'shared' network?   What is saying DHCP is not turned on????

I was trying to connect my computer to the shared network in order to use the printer which was being shared on the shared network.  The shared network was setup by a different host computer.

When this failed I tried to connect to a open wireless network connection.  My wireless connection failed due to a error message which stated the DHCP was off.  When I got back home, I tried to connect to my home wireless network and received the same message.  Once I was able to turn on the DHCP, the wireless connection works fine.
