Hello,

I cannot register my home printer to e-print. I do it from the web-services setup in the printer. It is defined as a wired network printer and connected via wired. The cable and port are OK (I checked with other devices). While it tries to register to e-print, it says " the printer cannot be connect to the server". it suggest to define a proxy server but other wired devices don't use explicit proxy. The same happens if | disconnect the cable and enable wireless. Printing itself from any device at home works OK.

Thanks in advance for your help.

HP ePrint
With HP ePrint, you can print from email connected mobile phones, netbooks, or other
mobile devices—anywhere, anytime. Using your mobile device service and the
printer’s Web Services, you can print documents to a printer that could be sitting next
to you or sitting thousands of miles away.
To use the HP ePrint service, you need to have the following components:
• An HP ePrint-enabled printer that is connected to the Internet (either using an
Ethernet cable or wireless connection)
• A device that has a functioning email capability
HP ePrint 37
Follow the instructions on the printer’s control panel to enable and set up the printer’s
Web Services. For more information, see www.hp.com/go/ePrintCenter.

Notes:

  • On the PC, you'll likely need an installed email program (Outlook Thunderbird, other installed email program installed on the computer).  Web based mail that you access through your Web Browser (Firefox or Chrome, for example) is  not an installed email program.
  • ePrint may not support "two-step verification".  If your email requires two-step verification, consider switching it off (and setting to "allow less secure apps") - or create an email address for this application /use and leave the security less restrictive.

Hello, I followed the instructions. the relevant info for my case is : https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-cloud-services-connected-series/5319203/model/5319204/docume...

I followed the docs you shared and all  the steps in "https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-cloud-services-connected-series/5319203/model/5319204/docume...".  In step 4.7, when I push "web services" in the EMS, I get a message that "to enable web services, go to the printer screen...". I also checked the physical connection. The cable and lights (steady green and blinking yellow) are OK. I also noticed the it successfully checks for product updates so I assume it created a successful connection to the internet. However, when it proceeds to register to  e-print,  it says "the printer is not connected" and ask to set a proxy server which I don't use for any other wired devices (PC) in my home.

Does it help to narrow the root-cause of the problem ?

Thanks in advance for any help.
