Hi @MarionMN

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like your printer is automatically printing an HTTP request, which is often caused by a misconfiguration or software issue.

Here are some steps to help you stop this behavior:

1. Disable Printer Status Notifications

  • Open Control Panel on your computer.
  • Go to Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printer Properties.
  • Navigate to the Device Settings tab.
  • Look for Printer Status Notifications and set it to Disabled.
  • Click OK to save the changes.

2. Uninstall and Reinstall Printer Software

  • Uninstall the current printer software, including the HP Smart app, as it might be triggering the issue.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer from the HP Support page.

3. Disable Web Services

  • Access your printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    • Type the printer's IP address into a web browser.
  • Navigate to the Web Services section and disable Web Services if it's not required.

4. Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.

Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

5. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
