Hi,

A few years ago I could use airprint on my devices without a problem, but somehow the printer can't be found anymore.

My iOS devices (iPhone 16 pro and Macbook Pro) can't find my printer with Airprint compatibility. The printer I have is the Samsung Xpress M2885FW and is listed as airprint compatible (this list About AirPrint - Apple Support). The printer and devices are on the same WiFi network, and other devices (Windows PC, macbook pro, macbook air and others) can print and scan via WiFi without a problem. All firmware of devices is up to date. I have done a "full power-cycling sequence" without result.

The printer simply doesn't show up when searching for an Airprint printer. I have checked these steps of the printer manual (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05587132 ) , but all settings were already correct. What could be the problem?

Hope someone can help me with this!

Hi,

Apple's AirPrint relies on Bonjour / Multicasting support.

Lack of availability usually indicate lack of support or unexpected configuration of the router not allow multicasting traffic.

Do you use a single router? or also use any range extenders in addition?

Are both iOS devices and the printer wirelessly connected to the same SSID?

What is your router brand and model? this may allow to guide you further as I can
