He explained the issue in the initial question, than got a gobbly **bleep** non-answer, then you asked him to repeat the question. No wonder these support forums are a waste of time! No one gives real step by step answers that the common layman can answer. Instead its mumbo jumbo that requires a computer science degree to understand.

I am having teh same issue, I try to connect to the wifidirect on my HP Deskjet 2652 printer, the password is 12345678 but it still does not connect. When trying to use regular wifi, it says that I need to use 2.5g wireless not 5g. I switched the WiFi on my router to 2.5 but it still cannot connect.

All I am looking for is an answer how do I use this product. I want to print stuff, I spent my money on a HP product, Please tell me in simple language with steps that I can follow. How to I get my printer to work.

I understand you're having issues connecting your printer either using Wifi Direct or Wifi. 

In order to connect using WiFi Direct, you would need to print the Printer network configuration page. 

Please follow the instructions to print the Printer information page for Wi-Fi Direct. 

On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button ( ) and the Resume button ( )
together for three seconds.

● When Wi-Fi Direct is turned on, the Wi-Fi Direct icon on the display stays on. To find the Wi-Fi Direct
name and password, press the Information button ( ) to print a printer information page.

For detailed information, you may use the User guide of your printer. 

Go to Chapter 7. Connect your printer and then to page number 65 & 66.

Next thing, regarding WiFi Connection, As per the printer specifications your printer only support 2.4 GHz network.

let's try to restore the network to the defaults settings. 

By restoring the printer to the network settings, this will enable auto wireless. Now the printer will be in Auto Wireless connect setup mode through the HP Printer software. 

To restore network settings to default settings

● Press and hold the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel together for three seconds

Once the printer is restored, Immediately, try to install the software on your device. 

If you're using an phone, I would suggest you install HP Smart app - HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS)

If you're using a computer, I would suggest you go to this website and download the printer software - Visit 123.hp.com to download and install the printer software.
