print issue

i'm printing things out in colour but thing is 

every time i do, the print shows red once it's out the printer?

also when i'm scanning the printer only prints out what it see's?

for example i scan a picture of my fiance the printer doesn't print the whole image?

i don't get it please tell me what i'm doing wrong, i have a HP DESKJET 2700e

if support could give me there email i'll send them images of what i'm trying to explain
