Hi @Flossie6,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

When encountering issues with printing from an iPhone or MacBook, there are several steps you can take to resolve the problem, especially if you are using AirPrint:

Verify Network Connections

  • Ensure both the printer and your device (iPhone/MacBook) are connected to the same network. AirPrint requires that both the printer and the iOS device or Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Check Printer and Device Settings

AirPrint Certification:

  • Confirm that your printer is AirPrint certified. You should see the AirPrint certified mark on the printer's box or documentation.

Enable AirPrint:

  • Make sure the printer settings have AirPrint features and necessary network protocols (such as Bonjour and IPP) enabled. This can often be done through the printer's settings menu or its web interface.

Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer, router, iPhone, and MacBook. Sometimes a reboot of these devices can resolve connectivity issues.

Update Software

Ensure that your iPhone and MacBook are running the latest version of iOS/macOS. Check for any software updates that may address AirPrint functionality.

Firmware Updates

Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer and apply them as needed.

Manage Print Queue

  • Check the print queue on your MacBook Access the print queue to cancel any stuck print jobs and try sending the document again.

Take care and have an amazing day!
