Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Help me to get my laptop talking to my HP web connected printer.  Had to purchase a new modem and this has resulted in my computer only, the other computer works beautifully, telling me I'm off line.  All areas tell my I'm on line but the printer

It must have been "operator error" .  I had originally used  HP Print & Scan Doctor and went through the process but nothing worked.  Patience here - I unplugged the modem, turned off the printer and started over.  Plugged in the model and let it do its thing and then turned on the printer and they started talking to each other and it worked.  I would suggest trying this process and see if it works.
