slow printing with stamps.com program

I have just installed this new printer and everything works fine but when printing with the stamps.com program it is so incredibly slow it's not even worth using. One page can take 6 full minutes to print. I can print anything else, from any other program or webpage, including shipping from the stamps.com website and it is fast and completely normal. It is the downloaded program that takes so long and unfortunately I run a small business that ships every day so I need this program to import my orders from various sites. I am not sure if it is a problem with the printer communicating with the stamps.com program or the other way around. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both programs, searched online for help and even contacted stamps.com but cannot find out what is going on. Anyone have this problem or ideas on how to fix it? It's driving me nuts!

I am not sure if this was resolved for you, but you can go into the registry and to this:

Regedit

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stamps.com\IPostage\Printing\Printers\"Whatever printer you are using"

Make new string PQ with a value -3.

If -3 does not work try -2.

I solved this problem on my windows 10 Computer. But, it should work for most windows machines. To fix this I had to install the Printer software application CD that came with the printer, i am not talking about the driver only. But, the whole application the measures ink and cleans the jets, etc. ( You may want to skip the software add ons that come with the installation). After installing the software, I rebooted the computer and it was fixed! It printed at the same speed as my other programs.

Note: if you do not have the printer CD anymore, You may be able to download it from their website.
