HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I Recently brought my new laptop in the black friday deals on the 30/11/15, as soon as i got home i started adding some of my bits from my own laptop like music and videos etc, the laptop was and really fast which is what i could expect from a brand new i5 processor with 8 gig of ram. However when it came to listening to music or watching videos even if they are on youtube or facebook, there would be an annoying beeping sound that would sometimes be every now and then, but now its become more frequent. The videos sometimes crashed when i tried to play them and im even getting random beeps even when im not doing anything.

I went online to seek help from people with the same problems  and I have pressed F2 on startup and done all the checks and scans you can possibly do on the laptop like everyone else had done,  everything is meant to be running fine yet the beeping has continued. i treid removing my battery like someone suggested and that has not changed a thing.

For a laptop that i have literally only had since November i sholdnt not be having these problems. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Lloyd

Hello @LloydyMac,

Thank you for the quick reply!

Try performing the Microsoft Push-Button Reset, to reinstall the Operating System.  If you are still having trouble, then you can try the System Recovery, to put the notebook back to its factory settings.  Please let me know the results.  I hope this helps.

It could be a failing hard drive.  The "beeping" could be disk write errors.  If it is, it will inevitably fail.

If after performing numerous tests and passing, if it continues to randomly beep, you may need a hard disk replaced.

I have had the same issue on my HP Studio Zbook G3. It stoped when upgrading to Windows 10 (from 7), but started up again after 2-3 months.

Dougmerian,

Check the link and read my post.  Does it sound anything like the youtube video?

When does your beeping occur?
