After Win 11 update, my speakers no longer show. I have stepped back to Win 10 a couple times, but it appears that is not an option any longer. I need a real solution, as it now appears my camera and mic are also dead in the water. HP PC diagnostic app states my driver is good, but states no devices are found.

Hi @jaydeeadams,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark. This indicates a driver issue.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section and check the status of your audio drivers.
- Similarly, check the Imaging devices and Audio inputs and outputs sections for your camera and microphone drivers.
Update/Reinstall Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your laptop model. This includes chipset, audio, camera, and microphone drivers: HP ENVY Laptop 17t-cg100 CTO Drivers
- You can also use HP Support Assistant to automatically detect and install necessary updates: Using HP Support Assistant
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter for speakers.
- Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to detect and fix hardware issues.
Check Privacy Settings:
- Windows 11 has privacy settings that may restrict access to your camera and microphone.
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure apps are allowed to access your camera.
- Similarly, go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and ensure apps have access to your microphone.
Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS menu (typically by pressing Esc or F10 during startup).
- Ensure that integrated peripherals like the audio, camera, and microphone are enabled.
Reinstall Audio Driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the audio device and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer, and Windows should attempt to reinstall the driver.
I hope this helps.
