Dear HP Support Team,
I am experiencing an audio issue with my laptop after updating several new drivers. After the updates, my audio stopped working completely.
Here are the steps I have already tried to resolve the issue:
- Uninstalled the audio driver and restarted the laptop.
- Reinstalled both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
- Attempted to manually install the audio driver for the yellow-marked device, but encountered blue screen errors each time.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. Could you please assist me in finding a solution to restore audio functionality on my laptop?
Thank you for your support!!

I had tech support to help for over an hour and that still did not work. Out of frustration I took it to the Geek Squad and the issue was resolved. It was worth it for me because lost time is sometimes lost money. But I love my HPs, desktop, laptop, and 3 printer/scanners.

Thank you for that description.
The driver downloaded and installed as per the instructions.
Some odd things:
1. the down load happened invisibly and there was no indication that it had been successful until I looked for it in the "Down loads" folder.
2. To open the cabinet file, right click on it then select "open as" then the zip application. (I know this is in the instructions but it did not quite follow the usual process for ZIP files).
3. I did not even need to restart the computer, the sound system fired up immediately after installing the driver.
