Hello. Ever since my windows updated my audio has not been working. I thought it was my headphones but after unplugging them my audio still wasn't working. There was a little x by my sound button that said no audio could be detected or something like that, and I could not adjust my volume. My laptop is a
HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ee0023dx
I have tried:
-running the windows audio troubleshooter
-updating my driver
-disabling then re-enabling my driver
-I tried to redownload the driver from windows but it only had drivers available that were for windows 10, not 11
-contacting windows - (they were unable to figure out what was wrong, and suggested factory resetting my computer, which i am trying to avoid, they were however able to get me back my ability to adjust my volume, just no sound plays)
-running the hp support assist software
-restoring my laptop to the previous state before the update
Is there anything else I can do or do I have to factory reset my laptop?

Pease try a clean install Audio driver
1. Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.exe and save on your computer
2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
3. Reboot machine,
4. Install downloaded file above,
5. Reboot machine.
Hope this helps.
Regards
