Hi @Ivan641,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP laptop shows no audio device, or the speakers do not appear. The issue may be that the audio device is disabled or the driver is missing.

What to try

Check Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager.

  • Look under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.

  • Find your audio device (for example, Realtek High Definition Audio).

  • If it is disabled, right-click it and enable it.

  • Also, check for warning symbols on the audio device.

  • You can also try updating driver software from there.

Check Sound settings

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound.

  • Make sure Speakers are selected as the default playback device.

  • Open Properties and confirm the volume levels are set properly.

Reinstall the original audio driver with HP Recovery Manager

  • Open Start > All Programs > PC Help and Tools > Recovery Manager.

  • Choose Advanced Options.

  • Select Hardware Driver Reinstallation.

  • Choose the audio driver (such as Realtek High Definition Audio) and reinstall it.

  • Restart the PC.

Download the driver from HP Support

  • If Recovery Manager does not restore audio, download the correct sound driver for your HP model from Official HP® Support.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
