My 3.5mm speaker jack was working just fine yesterday. I had been running some desktop speakers from it for the last 2 months. I had unplugged them several times, and used two different sets without issue. I took my computer to a meeting, brought it back and now the jack will only go in 75% of the way.
YouTube videos suggest putting a pin in the jack, however given that I'm still under warranty I'm not too keen to stick a pin into the hole.
The laptop was kept in my new HP bag (there is no rubbish including food, crumbs etc floating around in the bag).
I have shone a torch into the hole and I cant see anything there.
To be sure, I have held the laptop on the side and given it a little tap - there is no hint of dust or anything else.
