Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upon an audio software update this morning, the laptop is permanently on mute and that no audio output device is detected.

I followed the instructions provided, such as troubleshooting, disabling and re-enabling the driver, uninstalling then restarting but it does not automatically reinstall the audio driver.

 

Kindly seek your assistance.

Hi Samuel,

Try downloading this driver for your device.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/omen-by-hp-15-ce000-laptop-pc/15551437/mo...

Then uninstall the audio driver from device manager. Turn on airplane mode (no internet connection) and reboot the PC. Install the driver you downloaded and then turn internet back on again.
