Whenever I watch videos the sound autimatically decreases until it reaches 0 when it goes to full volume. Any ideas what could be the matter?

I am so sorry for the delay (I have had a lot with work and just havent hand the time!). I dont think it started with any updates but I couldn't say for certain. All I know is that this is drving me around the bend and the laptop is not even 1 month old! Also what do you mean by server? I am completely useless when it comes to things like this so sorry! I have windows 10 if that helps?
