when i start my device audio works for 10-15 minutes.  then audio device stops responding and i get nothing

@mattg325 Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

For an accurate solution I'll need more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 
    • (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.)
  • Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
  • When was the last time it worked without these issues? 
  • Have you attempted a system restore?
  • Did you run a hardware test on the computer using the F2 key during a restart?

In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:

 

Method 1: Unplug/Plug headphones & then, restarting your computer

Method 2: Running the audio troubleshooter

  • Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Then, type “ms-settings: troubleshoot” and press Enter to open the Troubleshooting tab of the Settings app.
  • Inside the Troubleshoot tab, scroll down to Get up and running and click on Playing Audio. Then, click on Run the troubleshooter to open the utility.

Method 3: Disabling & re-enabling the audio driver

Method 4: Rolling back/uninstall the Audio driver

Method 5: Setting the same sample rate for both Windows Sound driver and ASIO driver

Method 6: Update BIOS from the HP website: Click here to find and install the same.
