Hi did you get this matter sorted as I have just bought similar laptop from HP and no Bang &Olefsen software on despite box and spec saying it had……tech were no help didn’t seem to understand who B &O were…..given the postings on here cannot believe that at all, it’s happened before…..seems HP are selling computers under false pretences…..waiting for a returns label for them to swap mine ….we shall see if replacement is any better, I am really upset about this as it was a Christmas present.

Thanks for this, I did have a look at My HP but could not see the missing software, however I have had to send the computer back so waiting on replacement, which I suspect will have the same problem - if so I'll try again.

Good Morning
We seem to have had some success with the missing B & O software issue. We were told to return the original computer and they sent a replacement. After we performed the windows set up procedure the B & O software appeared in the “myHP” account on the computer. If you haven’t set up an account I suggest you do this.
We have to have that open, but we can control the levels of sound from that space. It has not appeared within the Windows controls, they just show Realtek.
We also had a problem on this set up with the Nvidia software not installing, a brief warning cameup saying not installed and to download from Microsoft. We did this but again it doesn’t show within Windows, so going to ask our friend to have a look at it for us as we expected both pieces of software to be included within Windows.
When you performed the initial installation did you go back into the system and check that all the files had installed? On our first installation we didn’t realise we had to do this and the Realtek software hadn’t properly installed. It took three attempts to get all this updated on this computer. That may be part of your sound issue.
Look at - system/windows update (ours shows on the left at the bottom of the list).
Hope this helps somewhat, but if all updates are installed and the sound still bad then I suggest you contact customer services as the sound quality is fine on our machine.
