Hi,

 

Try reinstalling the IDT HD Audio software package on the following link - this will also provide the Beats gui.

 

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

 

When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

mine is an m7-k211dx, and experiencing the same problem.  never seen this problem since I bought it several years ago.  is the solution the same?
