HP ENVY 17t-j100 Quad Edition CTO Notebook PC

I have an older HP envy that was fairly is fairly clean with all "updated" drivers. When I try to connect it to a TV I do not get any audio from through the TV, only the PC.  From the Device Manager, on the High Definition Audio Device | Properties the following message is given:

Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000\4&375f564f&0&0001 requires further installation

I have tried:

1) installing the latest driver from the HP site manually,

2) installing the latest driver using the HP assist program

3) Uninstalling the current driver and reinstalling the latest driver

No matter what I do I get the same error.

I had found this old post that was similar with a solution, but the contained link is no longer valid. It looked like it pointed to an older driver. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/High-Definition-Audio-Device-Device-Cannot-Start-Code-1...

If anybody has a possibly solution I would appreciate the help.
