Hello!
Since a week, after making a fresh new install of Windows 11 23h2 on my Envy x360 13-bf0010ca (378X1UA), i have no sound at all. I installed, all the new drivers, i check all the forum i can find on the internet, i checked my hardware, i tried the troubleshooting on windows and nothing worked. My BIOS is also up to date.
When i check in the device manager, i have STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE (code 10).
I saw a lot of people having the same issue. Can someone tell me where i can find a fix for that plz? Do you know when the 23h2 version of the drivers will be availlable and is it gonna work?
Thank very much!

Hi @EricBoucher,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your sound drivers after installing Windows 11 23h2 on your Envy x360 laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that you've downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the official HP website specifically designed for your Envy x360 model and Windows 11 23h2. Sometimes, generic drivers might not work correctly.
- Rollback Drivers: If updating drivers didn't work, try rolling back to the previous version of the sound drivers. Sometimes, the latest drivers might not be compatible with your system.
- Check Audio Services: Make sure that Windows Audio services are running. Press Win + R, type "services.msc", and hit Enter. Look for "Windows Audio" and "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder" services. Ensure they are running and set to Automatic startup type.
- Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that fix driver-related issues. Check for any pending Windows updates and install them.
- Reinstall Audio Drivers: Uninstall the existing audio drivers from Device Manager and then reinstall them. Right-click on the audio device in Device Manager, select "Uninstall device," and then restart your computer. Windows will reinstall the drivers automatically upon restart.
- BIOS Settings: Check if there are any BIOS settings related to audio that might need adjustment. Ensure that audio-related features are enabled.
Regarding your question about the availability of 23h2 version drivers, it's best to keep an eye on the official HP support website for updates. They typically release drivers compatible with the latest Windows versions, but the timing may vary.
If the issue persists despite trying these steps, it might be a more complex issue requiring advanced troubleshooting or hardware inspection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
