Hello,
My HP Pavilion makes a noticeable crackling noise in the left earphone channel when headphones are plugged into the audio jack. Its especially apparent when the music is played low. I have tested this with both Apple Earpods and my Audio Technica M50x. I recently uninstalled the Realtek sound driver because it was causing compression and no bass to be played on earphones. So I am using the Windows HD Audio drivers. However, this problem was also noticeable with the Realtek drivers, so I am at a loss for what to do.
Thanks for any help,
Eric

That probably due to Windows updates. Re-install driver should help. Please try
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/sp88075.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
Regards.
