Hello!
I've just brought a HP laptop for my personal use and i've been having some issues for the past two weeks.
Now i got Work From Home, i started using my laptop for my work purpose and the sound on the laptop became distorted and then the sound will go completely, i checked the HP Support assistant and the computer required an update for my audio driver which i installed, it then became worse, it happened again and then i tried every possible way which is available on hp page.
i uninstalled the driver and re-installed it through HP website and its still happening, this is very worrying for me as this is my primary device used for my work. And also i tried to factory restore my laptop but still i could not get rid of this issue.
there is also an Driver update that wont install it will fail every time i try to install it after the troubleshooting which is available in the laptop.
Please i need help i really want this to be fixed as soon as posssible.
thanks!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from the device manager and then download and install it from the below link.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101501-102000/sp101998.exe
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
