Hello Houmous, I'm going to leave you another download link because this file is missing things. Sorry for the confusion, delete that file and download this one.

https://catalog.s.download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/driver/drvs/2020/11/5b4ca2f4-0fe1-4...

They are going to create a folder where the compressed file is, for example Bang, there you are going to extract all the files that I am going to tell you.

Unzip the first file that I marked and extract it into the folder you created.

The second one you just click on unzip and save it in the folder you created and all the files you unzip because they will appear in all the folders.

The file called SA3.cab is the most important because it is the file to install.

Jos1__2-1720098229969.png

Extract to the same folder.

then you open the folder

Jos1__3-1720098375975.png

you will get this SA3.

Jos1__4-1720098523415.png

As you see in this, the first folder comes the Bang program.

Jos1__5-1720098612384.png

You open the folder and you will find these files.

Jos1__6-1720098681648.png

the first one on the right click to install.

When you finish extracting all the compressed files, close Winrar and open it again and unzip all the files.

It has to stay like this

Jos1__7-1720099080101.png

As I told you before, you go to the SA3 folder, in the next one you open the folder

Jos1__8-1720099253143.png

And here is the file to install. I hope I have explained myself well, since it is very complicated to explain it in writing.

I hope you can install it.

Remember to delete the other file and download the file from the link I left you

Greetings

Hi Jos1

Thanks for your last message and I appreciate your patience!

I have followed your instructions carefully. All my folders look like your screen shots. However when I click on "SmartAudio3-BandO-64.exe" I just get a rotating circle for a few seconds and then nothing. Re the screenshot below - do I have to extract the cab files in this folder as well before attempting to install the exe file?

Hello Houmous, I have never installed this program like this, I am going to tell you an installation file and see if you can make Bang install. In the SA3 folder inside, as you know, there is the folder BandO, SA3 and one that says x64, click on that file and you will get an installer, but I don't know if it is that one, since as I told you, I have never installed it, but install that one executable.

I leave you these screenshots so you can see what file you have to install, but as I tell you, I have never installed it this way. Sorry if I'm confused, it's complicated.

Hello Houmous, I leave you this link so you can download this driver and see if it installs the Bang program.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98001-98500/sp98141.exe

In this driver it will tell you that there is a download risk, you click allow download.

Hello again, sorry for so many downloads, I'm going to leave you the Microsoft Store link and you're going to download the B&O Audio Control from there so I can install it, that way it will be easier for you.

Hi Jos1.

I am posting this to let you know how I finally resolved the issue and to hopefully help others with the same probelm.

Thank you for trying to help me but unfortunately none of your suggestions worked, so I contacted HP support.

Afte unsucessfully trying to install the missing drivers as we had done, they tried a BIOS reinstall which did not work so they did a factory reset with the Windows Media Creation Tool.

https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

You need a USB stick with at least 32GB for this.  After implimenting this AND DOING ALL THE UPDATES my laptop finally installed the Realtek HD drivers and could see my internal speakers!

Note: While going through the reinstall steps I got stuck at a "we need to connect to your wifi" page because at that point  my wifi could not be found! If this happens to others these steps need to be taken:

In the "Let's connect you to a network" screen, press Shift+F10 to launch cmd;
Type the following command: OOBE\BYPASSNRO
After successful execution, the system will restart and restart the OOBE session box, when you reach the "Let's connect you to a network" screen, click "I don't have Internet", continue to click "limited setup", accept the license agreement and continue to create a local user account.

I hope this is of some assistance to others!

Thanks again for your help.
