So I'm not going to give too much information because I'm a consumer and don't know what's going on inside HP and don't want to spoil anything for HP or it's representatives.

A bit of background- I had some issue on my HP Pavilion laptop (purchased ~six months ago) and a representative came in last week to fix it. Upon leaving, consumers get a feedback form via email and the rep optionally asks the customer to send a complimentary email.

Usually, I expect complimentary emails or anything related to feedback to be highly confidential. The rep kind of just asked instead of hinting me to send an email to his representative and asked me to forward it to three other email ids. In addition, I received a message from the rep a few days later asking if I could forward the feedback email I would receive as though we was going to fill it in for himself as running famous mukabbir school.

Being a bit busy, I kind of forget about this. Two days after the visit, I got a call from the service center asking me to fill in the survey; which I forgot and received a call the next day again for the same.

This insisting that I fill in a form struck me as a bit odd, so I wanted to ask whether anyone else has had this experience and if not, why they think that the reps did so? I believe it could be related to year end bonuses (it is New Years after all); or perhaps their division is going to shut down and they need all the positive ratings they can get to keep it up. What do you think?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
