I need further assistance!

Hi @FerdieCalitz

Thanks for trying all the steps — I know how frustrating this can be. Since the audio device isn’t even showing in Device Manager after a clean install, and BIOS doesn’t detect it either, it could be a hardware-level issue with the audio chip.

Here’s what I recommend next:

Run the full HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics (F2 at startup > Component Tests > Audio). If audio hardware isn’t detected there, it’s likely a hardware fault.

We’re here to help — you’ve done everything right so far. Let us know how it goes!

Did not detect it, seems to be hardware issue ;<

also just noticed the headphone jack also doesn't work, so the only way that I can get audio is with usb or bluetooth, please help, this is a serious problem and I would like for it to be fixed!

@FerdieCalitz, Thanks for the update — I know this has been frustrating, and I appreciate all the steps you've tried so far.

Since the audio device isn’t showing in Device Manager, BIOS, or UEFI diagnostics, it’s likely a hardware issue with the audio chip. But before we confirm that, I have a few quick questions:

Did you reinstall Windows using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool or the Microsoft Media Creation Tool?

Is the Bang & Olufsen audio software missing as well?

Do USB or Bluetooth audio devices work without any issues?

Once you share these, I’ll guide you on the next best steps — whether it’s a hidden driver fix or service support. We’re in this with you!

I did use HP Cloud Recovery Tool to reinstall windows.

There is Bang & Olufsen audio software, but it is not working or detecting the audio device.

USB or Bluetooth audio devices working perfectly.

You can connect remotely to my device, and check for youself.
